Time!

What better TIME than right now, today, this moment? That’s right, the TIME is always right– so we should be too! So, if it’s not, why not?

Friday I was getting stuck. Just bogged down with all of that past, present and future CONSTRUCTION. I was so busy trying to gather tests and records and trying to prevent any hiccups that might happen with future Drs and future encounters. Then my son begins to blatantly put me down with his “stepmother.”

“Huggies, great big huggies,” he mimics me. I hear a lady laughing in the background. “Tyler, you know that when you were younger, you used to come up to your dad or I with your arms out and say that?” “Ha, ha” I hear. “Ok Tyler, I am going to let you go and when you are in a place without others and have TIME give me a call. Can you do that?” “Maybe…” Click. Then a text to say that it was his “Stepmom, tyvm!”

I tried thinking I didn’t care, but I did. I have accepted that another lady was going to come into his life and become a “New Mom” figure. But at this TIME, and with her ignorance? And then, yes, disrespect from a 13 year old, is expected, but not tolerated. TIME will heal this, too. All I could do was stop the factor, and realize that in doing so it might relieve all of the hands involved. Forgive, pray, be grateful and keep the faith, at this TIME.

I went on to watch this incredible author’s take on letting energy flow. She referred to it as a faucet and talked about our “mind” as the factor that operates the handle. [Just ask if you would like me to send you the link to her seminar.] She was right… there is beautiful and good energy flowing all around and through us. Why am I stopping it with all of these thorns and pads to “protect” me in this moment? It was as simple as that, right now, at this TIME, I will take them off and be open to the beautiful and good energy! This moment, the past CONSTRUCTION is simply that, the future CONSTRUCTION will continue.

The author also said to think about one of your most incredible moments in TIME. She referenced to meeting a love of your life or a great achievement. Then suggested to meditate on that moment often, pointing out that it was probably not master planned moment by moment leading to it. What a great realization, if we block or try to divert the universe’s energy, then those milestones may be missed. The goodness and the beauty others have to offer, the Earth has to offer, WE have to offer, flows for our taking this moment.

So yesterday, I was mindful of this. Every TIME that my brain would start to toggle with the faucet handle, I would think,

“Be still, be real and true to this moment, this current energy flowing.” This is my miracle in TIME, this is my opportunity to accept all of the wonderful gifts that the energy around me has to offer. This is my opportunity to “Carpe Diem,” to show up, the put the right effort in, and to be the best me I can.

This morning, I woke up looking at this beautiful flannel shirt dress that Kim gave me. I was holding onto it until I worked off some more weight in my hips, but thought– why not now? At this TIME I can embrace this gift and wear it as a shirt! There’s no point to tuck it away and not enjoy it, just like me… just like the love I am blessed with!

It’s TIME to be me, scars, hurt, disease– goodness, beauty, grace and positivity! Why not? It’s me, and I can and will keep my faucet wide open because God has a plan– and the TIME is right!
