Peace!

PEACE, to me, is the essence of being calm in the moment and embracing life with patience.

American sign language, “Good morning, PEACE in, PEACE out! I love you!”

While out for my morning exercise trying to brain storm for the perfect topic today, I caught myself at the edge of my still.

I was almost to the top of the staircase and I felt it– impatience! Towards myself because I wasn’t able to go the whole day yesterday without my crutches. Towards the lady who was snoring louder than the train that came through. Towards the person who was fiddling around in the bathroom stall. Towards the person who didn’t know why there wasn’t a safer path. Then it came to me in a furry, “PEACE out!”

Amen! Calmness was restored in my restless mind, and I felt more at PEACE! Once we have exercised and extended our patience and understanding we become wiser. Awareness of ourselves and others comes, and our knowledge becomes deeper.

People come to us most of the time with good hearts and intentions, but I have learned that almost always, it’s purely a reflection of them. That reflection can become part of you, and is going to effect you in some way, as it is already surrounding you. Just as my reflection effects others, and life around me. Albeit, PEACE in, PEACE out.

PEACE brings us to a place of Gratitude and respect. In these, we can be still… even if it’s just in our heads and hearts.

So, for today, I will work on remaining still, and bringing PEACE in, and sharing PEACE out.
